Maryland Seafood Festival at Sandy Point State Park
Presented by Peake Events, Inc.
Effective Date: January 1, 2025

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your purchase, possession, and/or use of any ticket, wristband, credential, or admission pass (“Ticket”) and your entry into and attendance at the Maryland Seafood Festival at Sandy Point State Park (the “Event”). By purchasing a Ticket and/or entering the Event, you (“You” or “Your”) agree to be bound by these Terms and any additional event rules posted onsite or communicated by event staff.

Event Producer: Peake Events, Inc. (“Peake Events,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” “our”).
Venue: Sandy Point State Park, Maryland (the “Venue”). The Venue is operated by the State of Maryland; however, the Event is produced by Peake Events.

Please allow ample time for parking, entry, and security screening.


ARTICLE 1: YOUR TICKET

1. Acceptance of Terms

The purchase and/or use of a Ticket and/or entry into the Event constitutes Your unconditional acceptance of these Terms.

2. Ticket Validity / Admission

A Ticket is required for each attendee (unless otherwise stated by an official promotion). Tickets are valid only for the date(s), time(s), and access level indicated on the Ticket.

Admission is subject to capacity limits, security screening, compliance with these Terms, and any applicable Venue rules.

3. Event Changes

Peake Events reserves the right to change, modify, or alter any aspect of the Event at any time, including but not limited to:

  • Event hours

  • Layout

  • Vendor participation

  • Programming and entertainment

  • Activities, tastings, and experiences

  • Amenities, offerings, or schedules

These changes do not entitle You to a refund.

4. Rain or Shine / No Refunds

ALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL.
TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-EXCHANGEABLE.
The Event is generally rain or shine.

5. Cancellation / Force Majeure / Safety

For safety and operational reasons, Peake Events reserves the right, without prior notice or compensation, to postpone, cancel, interrupt, curtail, or stop the Event; to temporarily hold attendees onsite; to evacuate all or part of the Venue; and/or to deny entry—even if You possess a valid Ticket.

If the Event is canceled, delayed, curtailed, or modified in whole or in part due to a Force Majeure Event, You are not entitled to a refund.

A “Force Majeure Event” includes, without limitation: acts of God; severe weather; flood; fire; lightning; extreme heat; earthquake; terrorism; civil disturbance; labor disputes; transportation interruptions; public health emergencies; disease or epidemic; government orders; and any other events beyond the reasonable control of Peake Events that impact safety or feasibility.

Peake Events may, in its sole discretion, offer a partial refund, full refund, credit, or ticket transfer opportunity for a future event, but is not obligated to do so. If any remedy is offered, the maximum remedy will not exceed the face value of the Ticket (excluding processing fees, service charges, and ancillary costs such as parking, travel, lodging, etc.).

6. Revocable License / Refusal of Entry

Your Ticket is a revocable license. Entry may be denied and/or You may be removed without refund for any reason including, without limitation: violation of these Terms, refusal of search, unsafe behavior, intoxication, possession of prohibited items, or violation of any applicable law or Venue rule.


ARTICLE 2: AGE REQUIREMENTS & ALCOHOL SERVICE

1. Proof of Age / ID

If alcohol is served at the Event, You may be required to present valid government-issued photo identification to receive an age-appropriate wristband and/or to purchase or consume alcohol. No exceptions.

Acceptable IDs include:

  • Government-issued driver’s license or ID card

  • Passport

  • Military ID

Unacceptable IDs include:

  • Expired IDs

  • School IDs

  • Photocopies or images of IDs

2. Responsible Alcohol Service

Peake Events reserves the right to refuse alcohol service to any person at any time. Underage drinking is prohibited. Any violations may result in removal without refund.


ARTICLE 3: SECURITY CHECKS / SEARCH POLICY

All persons, bags, and personal items are subject to search upon entry and at any time while onsite. Refusal to submit to a search may result in denial of entry or removal without refund.

Peake Events may confiscate prohibited items at its sole discretion. Confiscated items may not be returned.


ARTICLE 4: PROHIBITED ITEMS

For safety and compliance, the following are prohibited (subject to change based on Venue and security guidance):

  • Weapons of any kind (including firearms, knives, mace/pepper spray, etc.)

  • Fireworks, explosives, or hazardous materials

  • Illegal substances / drug paraphernalia

  • Outside alcohol

  • Glass containers

  • Drones or unmanned aircraft

  • Large coolers, picnic baskets, or oversized bags

  • Tents or canopies not authorized by the Event

  • Laser pointers

  • Professional recording equipment (commercial-grade video rigs, tripods, detachable lens camera systems) without media credentials

  • Unauthorized vending, solicitation, or distribution of flyers

  • Any item deemed unsafe or disruptive by Event security

Service animals are permitted as required by law. Pets may be restricted per Venue rules.


ARTICLE 5: CONDUCT AT THE EVENT

You agree to comply with all Event rules, signage, and instructions from Event staff, security, and Venue personnel. Prohibited conduct includes, without limitation:

  • Fighting, threats, harassment, or disorderly conduct

  • Disrupting operations, performances, vendors, or guest experience

  • Entering restricted areas (VIP, backstage, production, vendor-only, staff-only) without credentials

  • Vandalism, theft, or damage to property

  • Public intoxication or impairment that threatens safety

  • Littering or failure to use designated trash/recycling areas

  • Public urination or indecent exposure

  • Throwing objects or liquids

Peake Events reserves the right to remove any attendee for violations. No refunds will be issued.


ARTICLE 6: RE-ENTRY POLICY

Re-entry may be restricted. If re-entry is not permitted, you must purchase a new Ticket to re-enter. Any removed attendee is not permitted to re-enter.


ARTICLE 7: UNAUTHORIZED RESALE / FRAUD / MISUSE

  • Counterfeit or altered tickets will not be honored.

  • Tickets purchased from unauthorized sellers may be invalid.

  • Ticket sharing, duplication, or tampering may result in removal without refund.

  • Tickets may not be used for contests, giveaways, or promotions without prior written permission from Peake Events.


ARTICLE 8: PHOTOGRAPHY / VIDEO / MEDIA RELEASE

By attending the Event, You consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded. You grant Peake Events and its partners a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use Your image, likeness, and voice for promotional, marketing, archival, and commercial purposes in any media, without compensation.

Non-commercial, personal photos/videos are generally permitted. Commercial recording requires written permission and/or media credentials.


ARTICLE 9: FOOD, ALLERGENS, & CONSUMPTION

Food and beverage consumption is at Your own risk. Vendors may handle common allergens. Peake Events does not guarantee allergen-free offerings. Please inquire directly with vendors and act accordingly.


ARTICLE 10: PARKING / TOWING / VEHICLES

Peake Events is not responsible for loss or damage to vehicles parked on or near the Venue. Vehicles may be towed at the owner’s expense if parked improperly or in restricted areas.


ARTICLE 11: CLEANLINESS & WASTE

You agree to maintain cleanliness and dispose of trash and recyclables in designated containers. Restrooms must be used for their intended purpose.


ARTICLE 12: MEDICAL CARE

In case of injury or emergency, You consent to medical evaluation, care, and/or transportation as deemed necessary by Event staff or medical personnel. You are responsible for all related costs.


ARTICLE 13: ASSUMPTION OF RISK

By entering the Event, You voluntarily assume all risks associated with attendance, including but not limited to crowd-related risks, weather, uneven terrain, noise, food and beverage consumption, and activities onsite.


ARTICLE 14: LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Peake Events is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the Event. Peake Events is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property.


ARTICLE 15: INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Peake Events, Inc., its owners, employees, contractors, volunteers, partners, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from Your conduct, attendance, or violation of these Terms.


ARTICLE 16: GOVERNING LAW / VENUE / DISPUTES

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any permitted legal action must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Maryland.

You knowingly and voluntarily waive the right to a jury trial to the fullest extent permitted by law.


ARTICLE 17: MISCELLANEOUS

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Peake Events’ failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver.

Peake Events may update these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on its website. It is Your responsibility to review them.
